Setup Instructions

Step 1: Access ChatGPT Settings

  1. Open ChatGPT
  2. Navigate to your Settings

Step 2: Enable Developer Mode

  1. Click on “Connectors”
  2. Select “Advanced Settings”
  3. Toggle “Developer Mode” to “On”

Step 3: Create New Developer Mode Session

  1. Start a new ChatGPT conversation
  2. Click the “+” sign
  3. Choose “Developer Mode”

Step 4: Configure MCP Connection

  1. Under sources, select “Connect more”
  2. Fill out the required connection data
  3. In the “MCP Server URL” field, enter the “Streamable HTTP” link from the Ahrefs website

Step 5: Activate the Connection

  1. Ensure the “Ahrefs” source is switched on in your chat interface

After this, you will receive a verification code at the email address you used to sign up for your ChatGPT account. Enter the code, and the setup is complete.
