First things first, let’s get to the right place by making Shopify accept your payment.

  1. Log into your Shopify admin
  2. Click on ‘Settings’, then ‘Payments’. You’re now in the payment hub of your shop.
  3. Click ‘Continue account setup’

At this step, Shopify needs to know a bit about your business. You have to find ‘Submit information about your business’ and click ‘Submit details’

  1. Look for ‘Secure your account with two-step authentication’
  2. Click ‘Turn on two-step’
  3. Enter your phone number and follow the steps

Now for the main event – connecting your bank:

  1. Find ‘Add your banking information’ and click ‘Add bank account’
  2. Click ‘Connect a bank account via Plaid’, then ‘Continue’
  3. Choose your bank and click ‘Continue’
  4. Log into your online banking
  5. Select the account you want to connect to Shopify
  6. Tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions
  7. Click ‘Connect account information’
